From the word go, we just clicked with Jan and Jeff and met them 'en-route' for a pie and coffee to get all the gen about each others homes - their house was beautifully presented and located in a garden 'to die for!' - Vincentia is in Jervis Bay and is next to Huskisson with it's great Harbour and Cruises to see the dolphins/whales, plus good Clubs, pubs and restaurants and things to do ! Only a street back from a superb beach, so I was able to swim every morning after a very short walk - perfect for me as I have some health issues which require me to swim every day if possible and can't walk very far - Margaret made up for me however with long walks along the un-spoilt golden beach - a sensational exchange in a lovely area.

A 'stone's-throw' from the brilliant white sands of Collingwood Beach, Jan and Jeff's very attractive, contemporary and spacious home provided us with an ideal beachside exchange. What a thrill to find that, in addition to this lovely home, there is such an exquisite garden; with its sculpture, mirrors and its extensive array of plant life - each nook unveiling a new surprise. Colourful and abundant birdlife as well as visiting kangaroos were an added bonus. Ours was a comfortable, rewarding and seamless exchange highlighted by clear and precise communication. As this was a simultaneous exchange within the state, we took the opportunity of meeting Jan and Jeff half-way between Sydney and Vincentia to exchange keys and last minute arrangements. It was a delight to get to know them if only briefly. We all share a great love of walking. Their home is perfectly located to explore Jervis Bay and the surrounding National Parks. Jan and Jeff's comfortable home and exceptionally beautiful garden was in a very convenient location. Collingwood Beach is a short walk across the road and many N.P. walks within a short driving distance. We look forward to visiting the area again soon.

Jervis Bay and Vincentia are in a beautiful area. There are so many beaches with white sand and crystal clear water, most with no facilities and the beaches were not crowded. If you enjoy walking there are endless bush walks all within a short drive from the house. We received a warm welcome from Jeff and Jan, their home is comfortable and has everything you need. The garden is stunning and we enjoyed the visits from the colourful birds and a kangaroo! A great exchange from which we have wonderful memories.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

We have a modern, open plan house designed to capture winter sun and cooling breezes in summer. The rumpus room at the rear has a deck overlooking the garden. A study opens to the front garden. There is an outdoor deck off the living room with a garden visited by many birds including colourful crimson rosellas and lorikeets. The vegetable garden can be enjoyed by guests.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

We are located 200km south of Sydney on pristine Jervis Bay which is a Marine Park. We are a 250 meter walk to the white sands of a safe, clean swimming beach. We are walking distance (1km) to a small shopping center with supermarket and a 2km walk to a popular tourist village with many cafes, restaurants, a pub and movie theater. A larger shopping center is 3km away. A walking/cycle path follows the coast for several kilometers linking local centers. Nearby is a National Park incorporating a Botanic Garden with outstanding beaches and several walking tracks. A golf course is in our suburb. From the village, boat tours can be taken to see the dolphins that live in the Bay or to see whales during their migration. The area is renowned for scuba diving, kayaking and paddle boards.
Areas of interest within a day's drive include highly rated wineries, stunning coastline, beautiful beaches, bush walking.
