Martin & Maggie have busy lives working on local community projects and art in public space international initiatives. But there is always time for travel to experience other places and spaces. They have been fortunate to have made on-going friendships through HomeLink in England, Spain, Germany, Sweden and more recently Australia. They seek exchanges that provide an opportunity to experience the people and pulse of the neighbourhood and its environs. Both are retired and their comfortable and inner city located apartment provides ease of public transport access to the metropolitan Melbourne. They can exchange on a non-simultaneous or simultaneous basis and look forward to expanding their travel opportunities. They are looking for possible exchanges in 2024. Their apartment is available for a non simultaneous exchange in September, October and November this year.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our one bedroom apartment with a separate living/dining area, lounge and a bathroom / laundry with washer and dryer is located on level one in a four storey architect designed building in a garden setting. From our balcony we have views of the city skyline that at night lights up into a fantastic cityscape.
Our apartment is available this September, October and November for a simultaneous or non simultaneous exchange in Europe. We are open to all offers! We are also looking for a similar exchange in mid 2024 to Europe and North America.
Our apartment building is part of the Living Carlton development, and comprises 3 buildings, each of which has been designed by a different leading Melbourne architectural practice.
Our building named Ambient was designed by ARM Architecture. It is a striking, contemporary building set amidst a series of leafy courtyard gardens. Ambient comprises 20 apartments of four storeys with a range of studio, one and two bedroom apartments.
The apartment is light and airy and is south west facing with a floor to ceiling window. This is a safe and friendly community. The streets are local and tree lined with grass medians and verges. The bird life is varied and the apartment is isolated from road traffic.
We also have a studio apartment in the same building that has a well equiped kitchen (oven, cooktop, fridge, dishwasher) and dining area, a sizeable bathroom, ample cupboard space and a washing machine. This ground floor apartment is on a quiet garden walkway. Our apartment has a wonderful garden with a silver princes gum tree as its centre piece. The Danish designed sofa is easily convertible to a comfortable double bed.
