Beskrivelse af vores byttebolig

Our house is a private and secure home. The house was built 12 years ago, extremely well presented and is great as a base for investigating south-west Victoria and the Limestone Coast of South Australia. We have a wonderful neighbourhood with supportive neighbours. A 15 minute walk or less than 5 min drive will get you to iconic Warrnambool tourist features, CBD, train station, beach, coffee and supermarket and food options.
The house is compact but roomy. Plenty of natural light and an open plan kitchen/living area make for easy living. The main bedroom has a semi-ensuite and there is a second toilet. A double garage with direct access to the house allows for secure parking and direct entry to the house. We have two internal courtyards, one covered and out front is a lovely deck that captures the north sun - very nice for breakfast or evening drink.

Our neighbourhood is a unique location. The estate has been built on the site of the Warrnambool Woollen Mill which closed early 2000's with many of the homes making use of former factory features in their design. Our neighbourhood includes the beach, the lake, river and CBD as as they are all an easy walk. In addition to all the great features a supportive community has evolved within The Mill thus our neighbourhood is attractive real estate.
Our community is excited as Warrnambool and the South West were recently named "Australia's Most Liveable Region".

Warrnambool is located at the western end of the Great Ocean Road and attracts tourists who are in Victoria for this iconic drive. Warrnambool is a destination in itself.Even though the camp grounds fill in the summer Warrnambool is well used to this influx and visitors meld easily with locals and facilities are not stretched.
It is an extremely easy walk from our home to all that a visitor would require.
Within 2 hours drive are The Grampians, the volcanic Blue Lakes of Mt Gambier, World Heritage listed Budj Bin and of course the 12 Apostles and other features of the Great Ocean Road.
20 minutes or less Port Fairy which is a beautiful and much visited village and also site of the world famous Port Fairy Folk Festival. On the way visit Tower Hill which is a volcanic formation believed to have erupted about 32,000 years ago. Its formation is known as a "nested maar" and it is the largest example of its type in Victoria.
Melbourne is an easy 31/2 hour drive or train trip.
A car is not essential if you are content to stay close to Warrnambool and/or use bikes but if you are wanting to take in the region a car is strongly recommended.
